The unity edge controller (uec01) is designed to perform precise edge - color tracking and control with the microprocessor. The edge controller corrects the edge of the coil that is broken during the unwinding and winding of the coil. The edge control process is done by moving the coil from right to left according to the information from the sensor during the winding or dissolving of the product. In cases where this process is not mechanically possible, edge control is provided by changing the direction of the product with the lane guidance system. Adapting the edge control system to the machine is quite simple. It saves the machine operator great convenience and time. In general, the system consists of edge controller, edge control sensor, edge control motor, driver and limit switches. Ac motor, servo motor, step motor can be used as a motor. It can also be adapted to hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Color sensor ( contrast sensor ), ultrasonic fork sensor, or optical fork sensor can be used as a sensor. Edge control can be achieved with 0.01 mm precision.
