WE ARE YOUR GUIDELINES AND YOUR FRIENDS TO YOUR NEEDS IN THE SECTOR April 21, 2021

1. What goals and objectives did you set out for in the establishment of your company?

We have been in the production sector and especially in the plastic sector for about 25 years. Apart from Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, it was our experience over many years in different countries such as China. We established KOLBAY in 2019 in order to share all these experiences with the Turkish Plastics Industry and to develop solutions for the needs of the industry, even if it is small.

KOLBAY tries to serve the industry by bringing the machinery and equipment needed by our Plastic Industry from foreign sources and offering them to our industrialists, with consultancy services on the one hand.

2. How do you reflect the technology that develops and changes every day to your own work? If you talk about your R&D studies, what would you say?

Since KOLBAY is not a manufacturer, we do not have a direct R&D function. However, most of our consultancy services are projects where we are directly at the center of our customers' product or process development processes. Of course, in order to provide these services properly, we need to follow the technologies related to our field instantly. The same is true for our Machinery and Equipment sales. It is impossible for us to have machinery and equipment equipped with technologies that are behind the days in the market.

In particular, direct literature and patent searches are often of great benefit. In addition, we see the benefits of following up-to-date features of machinery and equipment developed abroad. In addition, we are in close contact with our partners and machinery - equipment manufacturers abroad, and we instantly monitor the developments in products and processes.

3. What are your characteristics that distinguish you from other companies in the sector? What are the most important factors for your customers to choose you?

The fact that we come directly from the center of production allows us to anticipate the possible needs of our customers. We can predict not only needs but also possible problems. I think this is an important advantage.

However, in our first communication with our customers in every way (both consultancy and machine sales), we try to listen to them as friends. Our priority is to make them accept us as friends and share their problems, goals and visions with us sincerely, rather than having a commercial start with them.

After that; If there are fields where we can contribute to our customers, it is to introduce them to them. If there is an intersection and common points with the services we offer in accordance with the troubles, expectations and vision of our customers, trade starts automatically.

But, we do not approach any of our customers with a Priority to Commerce.

4. Can you tell us about your consultancy and training services?

I do not want to say that there is "Education" within the scope of our services. Because, unless the outcomes of Education result in permanent behavioral change, that is learning, we cannot be deemed to have done our job exactly. Education, believe me, is a very long process.

It is more correct to call our service "Consultancy". Because we only act as a guide and companion to our customers. We try to show the ways of achieving your goals with alternatives. But we always leave the choices - the decisions to our customers. Because, the results of the decisions made and the transactions made concern only our customers, either positively or negatively. We are of the opinion that it is a great unfairness and limitlessness to make decisions that will directly affect the results on behalf of our customers.

Our responsibility is to show the ways in which the goal can be achieved, as accurately and comprehensibly as possible, and alternatively.

Sometimes a quality problem, sometimes a productivity problem, sometimes process problems, sometimes we have to guide the investment decisions to be taken. Sometimes, we need to fill in an investment decision with technical data.

Of course, since we are a Machinery representative, we often transfer our machinery and equipment solutions to our customers in accordance with their investment decisions.

5. If you talk about the areas you serve in the plastics industry and the problems you encounter most in these areas, what would you say? What are the solutions you offer to your customers in this regard?

We can say that our consultancy services have almost stopped for the last year due to the pandemic that broke out in the first quarter of 2020. However, due to the dynamic nature of our country's industry, our machine sales are progressing, albeit slowly.

However, as in every field, there is a serious brand dependency in the Plastics Industry. Technical equipment is better, even if equipped with higher quality components, it's pretty tough to put a new brand on the market in Turkey.

Components are of very high quality, our machines have provided a cycle time advantage of 15-30% to each of our customers. We have a strong technical service team. However, rather than the technical features of the machines, we are faced with a significant customer portfolio that chooses according to the brand. But we continue to tell every customer we can reach, and we will.

Importance of speed, importance of low energy consumption, importance of durability; In particular, we explain the financial returns that these will provide to our customers. Our audience is growing day by day ...

6. If you were to evaluate the year 2020, what would you say? Can you talk about your plans for 2021?

The year 2020 was the year of promotion for us. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we were able to communicate with a very small audience. Of course, this was also reflected in our sales. As you know, the fair at the beginning of December was also canceled. Our goal was to reach as many people as possible and introduce ourselves. We knew that this would turn into business in the coming years. We fell far behind our promotional target.

The year 2021 is a year in which our society and industrialists learn to live with the pandemic. We can reach a wider audience. The main thing we value is to hold face-to-face meetings, to explain ourselves to each of our customers by matching our products with the subjects in their professional field.

The year 2021 may not reach a point that is much higher than 2020, but we think that the steps to be taken this year will mark the coming years and decades, without any commercial concerns, we are trying to express ourselves correctly to our customers and explain ourselves.
